Analiza piosenki
Tekst piosenki odnosi się do krwawej ofiary powstańców w Dublinie w 1916 podczas wydarzenia zwanego powstaniem wielkanocnym. Grupa Irlandczyków zajęła budynek poczty w Dublinie żeby sprzeciwić się brytyjskiemu panowaniu na ich terenie. Bunt został krwawo stłumiony przez znacznie liczniejszą brytyjską armię.
