Piosenka opowiada o niechęci podmiotu lirycznego do jednego z członków jego grupy towarzyskiej. Chłopak, o którym śpiewa Brendan B. Brown jest bardzo pewny siebie, uważa się za męskiego, atrakcyjnego i niezwykle interesującego młodzieńca. Niestety, w oczach artystów jest tylko zarozumiałym „patałachem”.
Bohaterowi utworu wydaje się, że z łatwością może zdobyć każdą dziewczynę. Widząc uśmiech przedstawicielki płci pięknej jest pewien, że oznacza on zainteresowanie jego osobą. Nie przyjmuje do wiadomości, że kobieta może być po prostu uprzejma. Mężczyzna uważający się za „macho” nie traci ani chwili i od razu przystępuje do podboju serca dziewczęcia. Próbuje olśnić panienkę „przechwalankami” i popisywaniem się. Nie zauważa, że kobieta zamiast być oczarowana, jest raczej zażenowana.
Podmiot liryczny nie może znieść głupoty znajomego. Denerwuje go na każdym kroku swoją ignorancją i postawą. Uważa, że chłopak niczego sobą nie reprezentuje – „nie ma ani klasy, ani stylu, ani nawet umiejętności zachowania się w towarzystwie”. Jest jedynie zakochanym w sobie bufonem.
