„Let’s Impeach the President” to protest song wymierzony bezpośrednio w administrację George W. Busha. Neil Young nawołuje do impeachmentu znienawidzonego prezydenta, który w tym czasie sprawował urząd już od pięciu lat.
Artysta rozpoczyna piosenkę od zarzutu dotyczącego inwazji na Irak, dokonanej w 2003 roku pod kontrowersyjnym pretekstem produkowania przez tamtejszy reżim broni masowej zagłady. Zdaniem Younga, Bush okłamał amerykańskich obywateli i dopuścił się bezprawnej, nieuzasadnionej agresji.
Dalej muzyk również nie przebiera w słowach. Zarzuca administracji Busha rasizm, szpiegowanie własnych obywateli, zakładanie podsłuchów oraz dosłowne „złamanie każdego prawa”. Prezydenta interesuje wyłącznie walka z Al-Ka’idą, przy równoczesnym ignorowaniu realnych problemów całego kraju.
Warto odnotować, że nie jest to pierwszy przypadek, kiedy klan Bushów znalazł się na celowniku Neala Younga. Już w 1989 roku Kanadyjczyk krytykował – co prawda znacznie łagodniej – Busha seniora za pomocą przeboju „Rockin’ in the Free World”.
