„Please Don’t Touch” to singiel pochodzący z czwartego albumu studyjnego brytyjskiej piosenkarki i autorki tekstów RAYE, zatytułowanego „Euphoric Sad Songs.” Album ukazał się 20 listopada 2020 roku nakładem wytwórni Polydor Records. Jest to pierwszy projekt RAYE od 2018 roku – „Side Tapes.”
Utwór „Please Don’t Touch” opowiada odbiorcy o życiu miłosnym Raye, a także o zmaganiach, jakie napotyka z miłością. Piosenka opisuje wrażliwość kobiety w związku i zakochanie się w kimś, o kim wie, że nie odwzajemni tych samych uczuć.
14 lipca 2020 roku Raye mówiła w wywiadzie dla BBC News, że jej nadchodzący album studyjny będzie zatytułowany „Her Heart Beats in 4/4.” Powiedziała również, że projekt będzie realizowany pod hasłem „siedem etapów żałoby.” Tytuł został później zmieniony na „Euphoric Sad Songs” i zamiast siedmiu utworów, na krążku znalazło się dziewięć pozycji.
„Love Me Again” to główny singiel promujący wydawnictwo. Krążek zapowiadały także cztery inne utwory: „Please Don’t Touch”, „Secrets”, „Natalie Don’t” oraz „Love of Your Life.”
Tak na temat całego projektu, za pośrednictwem The Line of Best Fit, wypowiedziała się sama Artystka: „Ten projekt wyjaśnia dziewięć etapów żałoby. Pierwsza piosenka to naprawdę dramatyczna, zagmatwana ballada mocy, a potem przechodzimy do ostatniej, kiedy w końcu z całego serca mówię, że jestem uleczona. Jestem bardzo dumna z tej pracy i nie mogę się doczekać, aż wszyscy usłyszą wszystkie utwory. Mam nadzieję, że wszystkim spodoba się ten kawałek mnie.”
