„Deja Vu” to miłosny utwór, w którym autorzy zastanawiają się nad tym, czy ich partnerki są w końcu tymi jedynymi. Boją się tego, że to tylko kolejna nic nie znacząca relacja, coś co już zdarzyło się im wielokrotnie. Malone przyznał, że napisał ten kawałek, gdy dopiero co związał się ze swoją partnerką. Widać tutaj jego fascynację tą kobietą i wcale nie trudno zauważyć, że Post jest nią kompletnie oczarowany.
Wszystko układa się im tak, jak powinno, ale wokalista wciąż martwi się tym, czy coś z tego będzie. Zbyt wiele razy przeżył miłosny zawód, zakochał się w kimś, kto w rzeczywistości wcale nie był mu przeznaczony.
