„Lights” to utwór promocyjny pochodzący z wydanego 4 marca 2022 roku szóstego pełnowymiarowego albumu studyjnego amerykańskiego zespołu alt-rockowego Band of Horses, zatytułowanego „Things Are Great.” Wyprodukowany przez Wolfganga Zimmermana oraz Benjamina Bridwella krążek jest następcą wydawnictwa z 2018 roku – „Into My Arms.”
Mówiąc o inspiracjach związanych z piosenką, Bridwell wyjaśniał: „Byłem z rodziną w hotelu w krytym parku wodnym. Ostatniego dnia szedłem korytarzem, a ten facet powiedział: 'Ben?’ Tak się złożyło, że był to ten gość, który wyprodukował film, do którego pisałem muzykę. Spotkaliśmy się w przyjaznym rodzinom hotelowym barze, który jest zamykany o 10:00, po czym wylądowaliśmy na parkingu. Trochę się rozluźniamy – nic szalonego, ale w końcu omijaliśmy ochronę.”

W rozmowie dla Apple Music, Ben Bridwell wypowiedział się na temat całego projektu: „Oni [młodsi muzycy z Charleston w Południowej Karolinie] robili naprawdę pięknie brzmiące płyty, w zasadzie w jakimś magazynie. To [tworzenie demówek z Wolfgangiem Zimmermanem] nie było spiskiem mającym na celu obalenie płyty, ale ostatecznie poczułem jakbyśmy robili trochę materiał będący wyrazem buntu.”
