Analiza piosenki
„Year Of The Tiger” to utwór opowiadający o śmierci ojca wokalisty. Myles śpiewa tutaj o tytułowym „roku tygrysa” według chińskiego kalendarza, czyli o roku 1974. Wtedy to właśnie jego rodzić odszedł z tego świata, co rzecz jasna na zawsze odmieniło życie Kennedy’ego.
Mamy tu do czynienia z deklaracją zranionego człowieka, kogoś kto utracił bliską osobę, kto teraz musi poradzić sobie z funkcjonowaniem w świecie bez niej. To też deklaracja siły, potęgi miłości dzięki której autorowi i jego rodzinie udało się przetrwać te trudne chwile. Widzimy, że wokalista bardzo przeżywał ten czas, ale też właśnie wtedy postanowił sobie, że nie da się złamać życiu i wyzwaniom, jakie będą mu przez nie rzucane.
Śmierć kogoś tak ważnego jak jego ojciec pokazała autorowi, jak okrutny potrafi być czasami los i jak ciężko jest nie dawać się rozpaczy, gdy wszystko wokół zdaje się tracić swój sens. Tego typu dramaty kształtują jednak to, kim jesteśmy, czego Myles zdaje się być świadomy i co próbuje przekazać nam w tym utworze. Zapewne trudno było mu stanąć na nogi po odejściu ojca, ale udało się to w końcu, mimo że zostało okupione wielkim bólem.
