Her mother left her at the age 15 wanting to escape from parenthood . She has been feeling abandoned her whole life . She as a mindset of a boy , she acts just like one and everybody notices it .

– The streets is all she knows , she loves , breaths , dreams makes love to the streets . Her heart is so cold no emotions or feelings show at all . Shanel sells drugs , kills , runs trap houses and every else a boy in the hood would do . Gino the only person who cared about her except james . Gino was like their father figure he took them in . James and Shanel basically grew up together
