W tym kawałku Danko chce nam pokazać, jakim jest kawałem kozaka. „I Think Bad Thoughts” świetnie pokazuje nam pewność siebie wokalisty, który to kreuje się tutaj na człowieka kompletnie nie zainteresowanego byciem dobrym dla innych. Nie ma najmniejszych problemów by kłamać, oszukiwać, czy zastraszać i z wielką chęcią udowodni to każdemu, kto będzie miał co do tego wątpliwości. Nie warto z nim zadzierać, bo już dawno porzucił moralność na rzecz przyjemności i korzystania z życia.
Oczywiście jeżeli nie nadepnie mu się na odcisk to nie będzie miał powodu by pokazywać swoją ciemną stronę, ale w wypadku gdy ktoś się mu narazi, lepiej będzie współczuć takiej osobie. To, że Jones opisuje tutaj siebie jako zimnokrwistego skurczybyka nie znaczy oczywiście, że chce by traktować ten utwór stuprocentowo na poważnie. Wiadomo przecież, że tego typu teksty są pisane z przymrużeniem oka, ale także by w jakiś sposób dodawać i sobie i słuchaczom pewności siebie.
Starczy utożsamić się z wokalistą, słuchając, jaki to jest twardy, by i samemu sobie poprawić humor, czy podnieść jakoś poczucie własnej wartości. Każdy sposób jest przecież dobry, a muzyka niejednokrotnie wpływa na nas znacznie bardziej, niż cokolwiek innego.
