Jones w jednym z wywiadów przyznał, że ten kawałek wcale nie opowiada o pięknym według niego dniu. Wręcz przeciwnie, „Just A Beautiful Day” ma być wyrazem pogardy dla wszystkiego, co kojarzy się nam ze słonecznym, ciepłym dzionkiem, który dla tak wielu z nas jest przecież czymś przyjemnym i jednak bardziej preferowanym od ulewy, czy wichury.
Danko jednak nie cierpi słońca i gorąca, znacznie bardziej woląc noc, gdzie człowiek może iść się zabawić, zostawiając za sobą wszystkie swoje troski. Przedstawia więc w tym kawałku, jak bardzo denerwuje go każdy bezchmurny, upalny dzień. Wstaje wtedy lewą nogą z łóżka i do momentu aż słońce nie zajdzie jest jednym wielkim kłębkiem nerwów, skorym do kłótni i narzekania. Nie potrafi dogadać się ze swoją partnerką, z najbardziej niewinnych sprzeczek robiąc pełną jadu walkę.
Widzimy, że nawet dyskusja dotycząca tego, jaka muzyka ma lecieć w radiu jest dla wokalisty źródłem niemałej frustracji, co tylko dowodzi tego, jak bardzo poirytowany musi być. Cóż, nie wszyscy musimy przepadać za tym samym, w końcu różnorodność jest czymś dobrym. Gdy jednak nasze gusta są kompletną przeciwnością tego, co uznawane jest przez większość może być nam odrobinkę trudniej funkcjonować na tym świecie. Danko jest jak widać doskonałym tego przykładem.
