Analiza piosenki
„Fallen Angel” to kawałek o kobiecie, która chcąc spełniać swoje marzenia trafia do wielkiego miasta. „Prawdziwy świat” znała tylko z telewizji, wychowywana z dala od zepsucia, jakiego pełno w normalnej, szarej rzeczywistości. Nie ma się więc co dziwić, że gdy w końcu trafiła tam, gdzie zawsze chciała, szybko spotkał ją zawód.
Wyobrażała sobie życie w metropolii zupełnie inaczej, myślała że od razu osiągnie sukces. Żyje jednak szybko ją dogoniło, zmuszając do coraz cięższej pracy, by chociażby utrzymać się na powierzchni i nie stoczyć w skrajną biedę. Teraz ta biedna dziewczyna już od dawna zrezygnowała ze swoich marzeń, dając się kompletnie złamać przez twardy, brutalny świat.
Tego typu historie wcale nie zdarzają się tak rzadko, jak byśmy mogli się spodziewać. Szczególnie w USA, gdzie ludzie wierzą w nieograniczone możliwości i ten słynny „amerykański sen”, takie smutne upadki przeżywa naprawdę wielu ludzi. Gdy nasze oczekiwania względem świata kompletnie rozmijają się z tym, co zastajemy, trudno jest zachować spokój i pogodę ducha. Życie nie jest zazwyczaj bajką, a my zdajemy się o tym zapominać, odkrywając swoje słabe punkty i wystawiając je na dotkliwe ciosy od losu.
