Ten kawałek opowiada o człowieku, który próbuje sobie poradzić po tym, jak na jaw wyszło, że jego dziewczyna go zdradza. Początkowa złość zdążyła już zmienić się w rezygnację i smutek, więc bohater jest już na dobrej drodze, by pogodzić się z tym, co się stało.
Zdaje sobie sprawę, że świat czasem bywa niesprawiedliwy i takie rzeczy się zdarzają. Szkoda mu tego, że jego związek musiał się zakończyć w ten sposób, ale zamiast agresji przepełniony jest po prostu przygnębieniem. Wyobraża sobie jak musi wyglądać kochanek jego byłej kobiety, czy jest do niego podobny, czy też zupełnie inny. Narrator nie chce marnować czasu na niepotrzebne wyjaśnianie całego zajścia, nie interesują go motywy tej dziewczyny i nie zamierza w żaden sposób się na niej mścić.
Po prostu źle mu z tym, co się wydarzyło, szczególnie, że dowiedział się o tym od osób trzecich. Teraz nie dość, że skończył sam, to jeszcze jego towarzystwo dobrze wie, co mu się przytrafiło. Bohater nie załamuje się jednak. Traktuje tę sprawę ze spokojem i wie, że prędzej czy później będzie mógł stanąć po tym wszystkim na nogi i dalej iść przez życie. Jest mu oczywiście żal, że został tak potraktowany, no ale cóż, stało się.
