31 lipca 2020 roku Sam Fischer ujawnił, że 28 sierpnia wyda swój nadchodzący projekt „The Homework”. Fischer świętuje tę wiadomość wydaniem nowego singla, „The Usual”. W informacji prasowej Fischer wyjaśnił, że rozwiązanie pierwszego kontraktu płytowego zainspirowało „The Usual”:
