Stwierdzenie, że „każdy chciałby być sławny” jest dość odważne, ale trzeba przyznać że jednak coś w nim jest. Idąc przez życie chcemy przecież być lubiani, pozostawiać po sobie dobre wrażenie, pokazywać swoje kompetencje i otrzymywać od otoczenia pozytywne sygnały, pokazujące że jesteśmy wartościowi. Problem jednak pojawia się, gdy nasza „żądza popularności” zaczyna nabierać groteskowych rozmiarów, tak jak przedstawia to „Everybody Wants To Be Famous”.
Tutaj członkowie Superorganism próbują w pewien sposób ostrzec nas przed tym pędem za sławą, pokazując świat, w którym wszystkim zależy tylko na sobie i własnym wizerunku. Pragnienie akceptacji i uznania łatwo może przeistoczyć się w egoizm i wyniosłość i tego właśnie powinniśmy się wystrzegać.
Dobrze jest być pewnym siebie, ale warto nie zapominać o innych, znaleźć jakiś zdrowy balans między swoimi potrzebami, a potrzebami otaczających nas ludzi. Ta piosenka, wraz z teledyskiem symbolicznie pokazuje nam, co może stać się, jeśli przesadzimy ze skupieniem na samym sobie – im wyżej uda nam się wzlecieć, tym boleśniejszy upadek może nas potem czekać.
