Utwory z „Introduce Yerself” w większości napisane są dla najbliższych wokalisty jako swoiste pożegnanie z nimi, ostatni prezent, jaki autor chce im dać na końcu swojej drogi. Nie inaczej jest w przypadku tego kawałka, ale na tle innych z tej płyty jednak w jakiś sposób się on wyróżnia. „Faith Faith” jest numerem nie o człowieku, ale o zwierzaku Gorda, jego wiernym, kochającym psie.
Pokazuje nam to, że przecież nie tylko inni ludzie są w stanie się do nas zbliżyć, zostawić na nas jakiś ślad. Nasi zwierzęcy kompani często stają się tak samo wartościowymi i kochanymi przez istotami, jak najbliższa rodzina i w wypadku Downiego jak na dłoni widać jego przywiązanie do tytułowego czworonoga. Dlatego też i z Faith autor chce pożegnać się przed swym odejściem, wyrazić swoją wdzięczność za wszystkie te wspólne dni, w których jego psiak dawał mu swą bezwarunkową miłość.
